8. What if we can’t figure out the clues?

  • The clues are not written as riddles so you don't have to be smarter than a 5th grader to solve them. Here is a sample of a typical clue. (This clue is not actually used in any of the treasure hunts.)

    The New Cathedral in St. Louis is highlighted with gold
    The number of angels in the central dome is untold.
    Go to the sanctuary and count them one by one
    Then enter the number here when you are done:

    As you can see, a five-year-old or a fifteen-year-old would be able to solve this clue.

    If you go to the New Cathedral in St. Louis and count the angels in the central dome, you would discover that there are sixteen. You would write "sixteen" in the space provided.
