The Old Courthouse was the site of the first two trials of the pivotal Dred Scott case in 1847 and 1850. It was also where Virginia Minor's case for a woman's right to vote came to trial in the 1870s. This historic structure features restored courtrooms, a decorated dome, Dioramas, the "Gateway To The West" film and galleries depicting the history of St. Louis... and a great location to go clue hunting.

Aloe Plaza fountain/sculpture

The rivers are represented by two central figures and somewhere among the splashing water will be the answer to your clue.

The New Cathedral:
On May 1, 1907, construction began on the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (The New Cathedral). In 1912, installation of mosaics in the interior began. Completed in 1988, it contains 41.5 million glass tesserae pieces in over 7,000 colors. Covering 83,000 square feet, it is the largest mosaic collection in the world. Among all these mosaics and gold is a clue answer waiting to be found.

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard:
This is a St. Louis tradition on Old Route 66 since 1929. Ted Drewes is known for special “concrete” shakes that are so thick you can turn them upside down. And after finding the answer to the clue hidden here, why not celebrate with a frozen custard?

 |
Gus' Pretzel Shop:
Gus' Pretzel Shop has been serving St. Louis pretzel fans since 1920 when a riveter named Frank Ramsperger started baking pretzels for a living after he was hurt on the job. (The business was named for Ramsperger's son-in-law, Gus Koebbe.) Stop by for a fresh, hot pretzel and see if you can find a clue solution with a pretzel twist.
